Our members meet monthly as a large support group as well as in smaller city groups. Currently we are starting a smaller city group in the South San Diego Area. Pending city groups are Indio and Hemet. We don't want any mother to go unsuported because of where she lives.

Below are the membership requirements set by our national organization, the Blue Star Mothers of America, Inc. It is a non-partisan, non-sectarian, non-discriminatory and non-profit organization.
Blue Star Mothers
Blue Star Mothers are mothers, or stepmothers who have sons and/or daughters who are currently serving or have been honorably discharged from the Armed Forces of the United States. The services include the United States Army, the United States Navy, the United States Marine Corps, the United States Air Force, the United States Coast Guard, the National Guard, United States Military Reserve Units and the United States Merchant Marines.
Blue
Star Associates
Blue Star Associates include fathers, sisters, brothers, grandparents,
aunts, uncles, cousins, spouses and friends of those who are currently
serving or have been honorably discharged from the Armed Forces of the
United States. The services include the United States Army, the United
States Navy, the United States Marine Corps, the United States Air Force,
the United States Coast Guard, the National Guard, United States Military
Reserve Units and the United States Merchant Marines
Membership Dues
Membership dues for Blue Star Mothers of America, Inc. are currently $10 dollars a year, $5.00 of which helps fund our National Organization while the other $5.00 is returned to the local chapter.
Associate membership is free.
Voting Rights
All Blue Star Mothers in good standing are voting members
in our organization and are eligible to serve as officers.
Associate Members do not have voting rights and cannot hold office, but
they are encouraged to participate in all other membership aspects and
may hold chair positions.
